Please Do Touch: Interact and Play
“Please Do Touch: Interact and Play" is an in-depth exploration of the dynamic relationship between individuals and woven textiles. This research project goes beyond the conventional boundaries of passive observation, actively engaging the audience in a tactile and interactive experience. By incorporating an assortment of sticks, ropes, and rings, it assembles a versatile toolkit that not only serves as a means of interaction but also sparks the imagination, inviting participants to find innovative and creative solutions.
The intention behind this study is to break down the traditional barriers between art and audience, transforming the gallery space into a dynamic arena where spectators become active contributors to the artistic process. Through the manipulation of various elements within the woven textiles, viewers are prompted to explore their own creativity and problem-solving skills, fostering a deeper connection with the woven textiles.
The textiles featured in "Please Do Touch: Interact and Play" are meticulously woven in a unique manner that incorporates strategically placed connection points. These intentional design elements enhance the interactive aspect of the installation, allowing participants to engage with the woven surfaces in a meaningful way. The connection points serve as anchorages for the sticks, ropes, and rings within the toolkit, creating a structured yet adaptable framework.
